RentBuy.org and the Rent vs Buy Calculator mobile applications ("the Services") are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our web and mobile applications.

Information Collection

Data Stored Locally

Our Services store your calculator inputs (such as home price, rent amount, tax rates, and other financial parameters) locally on your device using browser localStorage (web) or SharedPreferences (mobile). This data:

• Never leaves your device
• Is not transmitted to any server
• Is not shared with any third party
• Can be cleared by clearing your browser data or uninstalling the mobile app

Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect any of the following:

• Personal identification information (name, email, address, phone number)
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Contact information or address book data
• Financial account information or bank details
• Usage analytics or behavioral tracking data
• Device identifiers (IDFA, GAID, or similar)
• Cookies for tracking purposes
• Any form of user accounts or login credentials

Data Storage

All data is stored exclusively on your device. We do not operate any servers that collect or store your information. The calculations are performed entirely within your browser or mobile app.

The MCP endpoint

AI assistants can run the calculator through our MCP endpoint. Requests sent to it contain only calculator inputs, are computed in memory and returned; we do not store them and there are no accounts. Our hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived request logs (such as the requesting IP address) for security and rate limiting.

Third-Party Services

Our Services do not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or data collection services. We do not use:

• Google Analytics or similar analytics platforms
• Facebook Pixel or other advertising trackers
• Any third-party SDKs that collect user data

Children's Privacy

Our Services do not collect any personal information from any users, including children under the age of 13. The applications are safe for users of all ages.

Security

Since we do not collect or transmit any personal data, there is no risk of data breaches or unauthorized access to your information through our servers. Your data remains securely stored on your own device.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect any personal data, there is no personal data to access, modify, export, or delete from our systems. All calculator data is stored locally on your device and can be managed by:

• Web: Clearing your browser's localStorage or site data for rentbuy.org
• Mobile: Uninstalling the app or clearing the app's data through your device settings
• Using the "Reset to Defaults" feature within the application
